The Federal Government of Nigeria has established an Agency, known as the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), responsible for collecting, compiling, analyzing, interpreting, publishing and disseminating statistical information relating to the socio-economic life and conditions of the people of Nigeria. These include matters relating to gender based violence that are population-based and regular national surveys focused. The Bureau coordinates the development and management of official statistics in all the Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies, State Governments Statistical Agencies and Local Government Councils.
